The Year 10 DVC course: 2020
This course builds on the Year 9 course for DVC at HC. The focus is on extending student's Google Sketch-up skills and techniques. Students learn more extensive illustration and communication techniques. The presentation skills of students are refined and develop in this course. Freehand sketching is an important part of the course and the skills are refined and developed to the next level. Knowledge of Design eras and influential designers are developed (product and architectural design). Some aspects of calligraphy are touched on in the course and students explore creative and innovative ideas (calligraphy art). All final presentations are presented in Google Slides (shared with teacher) with extensive annotations,to the teacher. Students are encouraged to participate in the design competitions in class.
